So why does teambuilding work?

People bring more than their skills and experience to a team; they bring their personality as well. People in every workplace talk about building the team, working as a team, and my team, but few understand how to create the experience of team work or how to develop an effective team. Belonging to a team, in the broadest sense, is a result of feeling part of something larger than yourself.

Team building events focus on giving individuals within a team the opportunity to understand how behaviour influences the “team build” process. It also enables them to recognize the importance of a well-balanced team - in personality as well as skill and ability - in order to maximize team performance.

With our incredibly flexible team, we can tailor make interventions to suit the needs of any organisation. If you are looking for a day that is just fun, fun, fun or an entertaining day which involves some brain power with specified outcomes.

Experiential  learning and interaction is our focus in this arena – our qualified facilitators will not only pull through the fun element, but debrief teams effectively in order for them to experience and recognise the learning.

Part of the result is for Teams to be equipped to excel beyond expectations back in the workplace.  This is done by the facilitator drawing metaphoric connections between a number of dynamic outdoor activities and the challenges faced by delegates back in their real worlds.

Our interventions are tailored to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Challenge any inhibiting dynamics in the Team such as lack of respect, self-defeating team dynamics, varying backgrounds, etc.;
  • Shaping future ways of interacting through the creation of a new and common positive history, mutual respect, and common goals for the various teams.
  • To create a new trust environment through physically having to trust one another
  • Encourage planning through the tasks and relating planning back to a business environment
